BRANDY, 1991. Words can't express how much I miss this girl.. She was my soulmate and we understood each other completely. She was kind, gentle and street smart, and I am working on the book that will detail her life. A "wild" mustang when I got her, she was the gentlest horse in the barn.

Ron and Brandy, shortly after I got her. Although she'd only been with us for two weeks, she allowed us to come inside the enclosure and bond with her.

Amy and Brandy, at about the same time as the above photo. Brandy was still quite thin in this photo, having just come from the holding pens of the Bureau of Land Management. But she filled out quickly.

Itty Bitty Met Brandy in 1992. Itty Bitty was born on April 15, 1992, and he met Brandy when he was about three weeks old, thinking she was his mom. They bonded right away, and I knew he had to be with us.
I bought him before he was weaned from his real mom, and he and Brandy were inseparable until she died on October 26, 2004.

We Made the Paper! Because I was social editor of our newspaper, I was able to write the story of training Brandy, and they published it as a five-part series.. Kind of a bad copy. I had the original photo and it is missing, which breaks my heart.

Me and Brandy, fall, 1991, all bundled up for winter. I hated winter, she loved it, having come from Ely, Nevada, up in the snow.
